The project
easiware needed technical expertise to build easiware-start, its new customer service product. The team of 8 was struggling with velocity, quality and seniority, so Nicolas and Alexis took the engineering lead: reorganising the team, hiring the people it was missing, simplifying the stack by migrating the microservices to a NestJS monolith, then adding unit and integration tests (Jest) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
The hard parts
- —Restructuring an existing team while keeping it motivated and aligned
- —Refactoring and phasing out the microservices into a monolith, without ever stopping feature delivery
What Qraft did
After a year, Qraft hired its own replacement, interviews and technical tests included, and easiware brought the project back in house.
